PRATHYUSHA  CAREER GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING CAMP HELD AT CHENNAI ON 26 JUNE 2011

Chennai 26Jun : Prathyusha Institute of Technology and Management, located at Aranvoilkuppam in Tiruvalur District organized a One - Day Career Guidance And Counseling Camp at Image Auditorium, RA Puram, Chennai on 26.06.2011 for the benefit of the Aspirants of engineering and Technical studies. Shri.A.K.Pattabiraman, Principal consultant and Analyst, Tata consultancy services, Chennai, Shri.Jayaprakash A. Gandhi, Popular Career Consultant and analyst, Madurai, Ms.Hema Gopal, Vice President, Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai and Prof. G.K.Manoharan, Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Prathyusha Institute of Technology and Management participated in the camp as guests of honor and resource persons and offered their valuable guidance and counseling to the aspirants.


Earlier the Principal Dr.N.Gunasekaran welcomed the gathering and highlighted the achievements of the college in various fields. Dr. Beulah Devamalar, Director Academics & Development highlighted the important of the career guidance and the counseling camp and the benefits for the students community. Around 400 Students and Parents participated and have been benefited by this program.
The Chief Guest Shri.A.K.Pattabiraman empathized that the students should be very careful in selecting the course of studies in Engineering and Technology keeping in view of their happy, peaceful and prosperous future career. He said that one should answer the questions "What to Study?, Why to Study?, Where to Study? and How to Study?" before selecting the right branch of studies in these fields.


Shri.Jayaprakash A. Gandhi, highlighted the various branches of studies in Engineering and Technologies and the scope for the future career. Ms.Hema Gopal spoke on the job opportunities available in the Information Technologies sectors currently and in the future and gave valuable tips for their selection and placement in IT companies and other MNCs.
Prof.G.T.Manohar insisted that students  should acquire knowledge, skill and smartness in order to compete with others in this competitive world and hence they have to choose the right institute which caters to this requirements.


The hallmark of the camp is signing of an MOU between Prathyusha Institute of Technology and Management and National Instruments. The company provides "LAB VIEW" software to the students of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The MOU aims at offering courses in LAB VIEW software and thus enable the students to seek placement in Electronic Industries.
The participating students and their parents interacted with the resource persons by posing many questions in order to clarify the doubts.


The above camp was brought to a close with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr.RG.Thayakaran, Dean, Placement and Training. A lunch was also hosted in honor of the guest and participating students. Encyclopedia and other reading materials were also distributed to the participating students.
